Q: Where can I buy Blackened internationally?
A: Blackened is only available in select markets in the United States at this time. We’re working hard to open new markets, please join our newsletter here for updates on all new launches.

Q: What whiskeys are in Blackened?
A: Blackened is a blend of straight bourbons, ryes, & whiskeys from distilleries across North America – hand selected by Dave himself.

Q: What kind of whiskey is Blackened?
A: Blackened is a blend of straight whiskeys finished in black brandy casks.

Q: How old is the whiskey?
A: Blackened is a blend of straight whiskeys, all very well aged.

Q: How long is the finishing process?
A: Like many of Dave’s whiskeys, the finishing process is between 2-10 weeks.

Q: What is sonic-enhancement?
A: Sonic-enhancement, or as we like to call it “BLACK NOISE”, is the use of sound waves to create an intensified interaction between the barrel and the whiskey.

Q: What does sonic-enhancement or BLACK NOISE do?
A: The intensified interaction between the barrel and the whiskey during the finishing phase adds additional wood characteristics to the spirit.

Q: What is the proof?
A: Blackened is 90 Proof, 45% Alc. by Vol.

Q: Can I purchase a barrel for beer?
A: Not at this time

Q: How does the playlist work?
A: Each batch of Blackened has its own playlist, chosen by the band themselves. When resting in the finishing barrels, the music is played to the barrel – causing an intense reaction between the barrel and the whiskey imparting more wood character.
